A truly inspiring message and post.' -Joanne Olivieri, writer/photographer and reader July 12, 2010 1:57 PM BELOW IS A SAMPLE OF SHANE'S LIFE IN THE CITY: 'In the middle of our Pi Kapp civil war the brothers retreated in punishing us potentials and they finally allowed us some entry into their brotherhood, it was the night we found out who our 'big bro' was and I was ready. We were all lined up, and one by one we turned to face the person who was going to watch over us during our crossing over. I had one person in particular that I had chosen in my head and I was hoping it was going to be him, as I turned around, uncovered my eyes and looked up to see, it was. Standing there was Rick (but we'll call him Big Bro), a tall Irish man with a grin that could light up a room and I knew I had made the right choice. Even though he was a year younger, he seemed to be more together, mature, and wise in all that he did whether it was his studies, the girls he was dating and the way he lived his life.
